Instead of obsessing about the safety, by taking some precautions you will have added piece of mind.
First of all, take a few steps that will make your home appear as if you are home. You can do this by holding your mail and delivery of the newspaper. Having several newspapers in your front yard or a mailbox that is overflowing, you are practically advertising that you aren’t home. So why not invest 10 minutes and call to stop delivery during your time away? Another great way to show some mobility at your house is to have your blinds and shades operated during the day. Instead, let your closest friend know via text, it might just save you a big headache later on.
